Lawsonia Inermis, commonly known as Henna is native to northern Africa, western and southern Asia and northern Australia. The leaves of the plant Henna contain a-glucoside, a coloring matter and nennotinic acid. Henna leaves are very effective in treating skin problems like burns and boils. Henna is mainly used as a colouring agent. Being a natural dye, it is also used in the textile industry and manufacturing of hair dye.
